Imitate: Generous

Generous Luke 6:27-38 Connect As your group gathers, read the following 4 statements that begin Jesus’ sermon: Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who mistreat you. Which one of those is the hardest for you to do? Pray As we share and pray this week, encourage your group to share how they did in pursuing the measures in the past week.   Encourage them to continue in those or discuss the others, and then talk intentionally about the measure of invitation as we think about what generosity looks like.   Invitational: Who Am I Connecting with God’s Family? Imitate: #Blessed

Luke 6:17-26 Week of February 17 Connect Enjoy time getting to know those different and new members of your group.   Encourage everyone to get to know someone different each time that you gather.   As your group prepares to begin, start with this question: When someone says that they are “blessed,” what do you think that means today? Pray I know you went over the Measures and their questions last week.   This week, you might want to consider talking about how the Measures can work in your group.   For instance, do people choose each week?   Do you focus on one of the questions each week and then come back to report on it? Talk about the importance of praying together.   If your group is really large on a given night, it also might be best to pray and talk in pairs or threes. Passion: Where did I see God today?
